UK based Wizu Workspace has announced a new 24.5k sqft flexible workspace at 25 Skeldergate in York, scheduled to launch in Summer 2025. This will be their first location in York and their 14th total.

Paul Thomas shares some interesting shifts highlighted by recent CoStar data. We see a big move from the established brands to newer, high-end operators who are winning more and more deals.

For 2018 to 2022, flex leasing was going to Spaces (25%), WeWork (19%), Regus (16%), Instant Offices (13%), Orega (11%), X+Why (7%), Pure Offices (5%) and Gilbanks (4%).

Fast forward to 2023 and 2024: Cubo (33%), Orega (13%), IWG (13%), 2-Work (9%), Runway East (9%), Re-Defined (8%), Gilbanks (8%) and Wizu Workspace (7%).

Is there a trend that we didn’t see yet? Maybe it just hasn’t hit our FYP on TikTok yet. Wizu, well known coworking space operator in the North of the UK published a hilarious video that shows off their space in the most monotone way possible.

We see a lot of spaces post photos of their locations online, and some do a video now and again. This brought a chuckle to many that enjoyed the way they hopped onto a quirky social media trend – even if we didn’t know it was a trend yet. Will we see more spaces follow their lead?

Wizu Workspace opens their 7th location in Leeds, at One Embankment offering offices for 4-100 desks.

The space, at Portland House in Newcastle, is their 10th location.
