Coworking is. Obviously. It sits alongside Traditional Offsites and Retreat-style Offisites – the other two ways Dropbox employees intentionally gather.
Melanie Rosenwasser, Chief People Officer at Dropbox shared some notes about how Dropbox’s Virtual First operating model is decidedly not virtual-only, and how intentionality is a ken tenet of their approach for creating a flexible experience for employees.
Interestingly the firm has two ‘forms’ of coworking, based on team needs: "General coworking" which includes working day-to-day projects or things like product launches. Simon Baker shares news of a joint venture between Fusion 4 Ventures and PropTech Farm to set up a fund to support SE Asian, Aussie and Kiwi proptech companies.
The $US 15M fund aims to make 12-15 investments with a focus on businesses building in these areas: circular economy, construction tech, data & transactions, energy solutions, building & property management, sustainability and classifieds & listings. The last category is where I think this applies most to coworking, as regional booking aggregators look to expand out.

Courtney Guthridge summarizes some of Flex Index’s recent data drop, highlighting some insights that could help you dig into what sized companies are prime potential members for your flex space products.
Spoiler: firms with less than 1000 people are more flexible with 58% offering employees the choice of how/where to work and 28.6 are fully remote. Compare that to only 2.7% of firms larger than 1000 people that are fully remote.
