🤺 Microsoft slides into hybrid team scheduling with Places
Neowin reports on Microsoft Places, their new Teams app that helps employees coordinate where to Expand 👇 work from based on who else will be in/around. This lines Microsoft up to compete with some of the hybrid work platforms (like Gable, Desana, Deskpass, OfficeRnD Hybrid, Kadence, LiquidSpace and Café) – some of which may already built integrations with Teams to support enterprise customers.
Although Places was initially hinted at 2 years ago, I did note how this could impact coworking spaces here. In short: it may only be a matter of time before Places is extended to offer 3rd-party or third space bookings, access and visibility too.

💼 Hybrid workforce tech and booking platform partner up
Mark Gilbreath (and Dan Bladen) share the news this week that their platforms are partnering up. In Expand 👇 short this means that organizations using Kadence to manage their hybrid teams can now book both internal employer-owned spaces and spaces from 3rd party operators via Liquidspace.
This follows similar moves from other remote work platforms and booking platforms, including the recent tie up between Liquidspace and OfficeRnD Hybrid. As mentioned in my recent post about new rev. opportunities for flex space bookings, expect more in this area.
