Ryan Simonetti shares that Convene Hospitality Group (who own Convene, NeueHouse, etc.venues and special event venues) have secured $230 million in strategic financing to help accelerate their vision as a global, multi-brand hospitality organization.

Further info: Under the terms of the court-approved Asset Purchase Agreement, CHG has acquired the brand’s intellectual property and the operations of the NeueHouse Madison Square location. There are no current plans to reopen the Los Angeles locations.

Members-only creative community NeueHouse announced the immediate closure of all three locations in Hollywood, Venice Beach, and New York’s Madison Square neighborhood, effective September 5th at 2 PM PST. The company, which operated for over a decade serving creators, innovators and thought leaders, cited "legacy liabilities" as the reason for shutdown despite describing itself as having "an extremely valuable business."

The NeueHouse Board stated they explored "every possible solution" to avoid closure but ultimately determined shuttering was "the most responsible path for all stakeholders." All locations will remain open until the deadline to allow members to collect personal belongings.
