CoworkingCafe‘s Q2 2025 industry report for UK and Ireland explores their data from the 15 largest markets.
The UK boasts 3,949 spaces, (3,456 in England, 279 in Scotland, 124 in Wales, and 90 in Northern Ireland). Greater London is largest market (1,202), followed by Manchester (118), Birmingham (68), Glasgow (61), Bristol (61), Edinburgh (55) and Leeds (54). Cardiff has 41 spaces, while Belfast has 38. Median coworking memberships are £180 p/m, day passes at £25, VOs at £95 and meeting rooms at £30 p/h. As for the brands, Regus is largest (249 locations), followed by Fora (63), Bruntwood (53), Workspace Group (51) and Spaces (46).
Ireland has 250 spaces, nearly half of which are in Dublin (119). Median prices are €205 for memberships, €35 for day passes, €134 p/m for VOs and meeting rooms are €40 p/hour. The largest brands here are Pembr (18), Iconic Offices (14) and Regus (10).

CoworkingCafe‘s UK and Ireland Q1 2025 State of the Coworking Industry Report, explores workspace inventory at national and local levels — including a breakdown of leading coworking markets — alongside median subscription prices and top coworking operators.
Key findings:
Combined inventory now stands at 4,090 spaces (up from 3,326 last quarter). 3,335 of these are in England, 291 in Scotland, 119 in Wales, 84 in Northern Ireland and 261 in Ireland. Nearly 30% of the UKs spaces are in London, followed by Manchester (93 spaces), Glasgow (67), Birmingham (63), Edinburgh (58), Bristol (56), and Leeds (52). Cardiff is largest in Wales with 38 and Belfast leads Northern Ireland with 32.
Price-wise in the UK, median open workspaces sat at £175 p/month, while dedicated desks fetched £248 on average. Interestingly Brighton and Hove saw the highest rates for dedicated (£300/month), while Oxford leads on hotdesks at £295/month. VOs average in at £50/month while meeting rooms came in at £27/hour. In Ireland the average dedicated desk was €295/month, hotdesks at €200/month, VOs at €75/month and meeting rooms fetched €40/hour.
Location-counts: The Largest operators in the UK were Regus (198), Fora (63), Workspace Group (53), Workpad (41) and Spaces (41), while Ireland’s charts are topped by Pembr (18), Iconic Offices (14) and Regus (9).

CoworkingCafe just released their quarterly report on the state of the coworking in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
In it they share that the region now boasts 3,089 locations (2,718 in England, 202 in Scotland, 105 in Wales and 64 in Northern Ireland). Greater London still leads by size with 887 spaces, followed by Manchester with 74 hubs.
The national median price for dedicated desks sits at £210, with Brighton and Hove holding the highest median price at £310, and Newcastle and Sheffield at the other end of the price spectrum at £189. Open space median prices are £160 (£245 in Greater London). VO are £50 per month nationally, while Greater London has the highest median price at £100. Meeting rooms are listed at a median hourly rate of £25 at the national level, reaching as high as £46 / hour in Greater London.
Regus leads the pack regionally with 195 coworking spaces throughout the UK (with less than half of its national portfolio is concentrated within the 15 busiest coworking markets). Fora comes in second with 66 spaces nationally, 64 of which are concentrated in the top 15 markets – particularly London. With a similar distribution pattern, 55 out of Workspace Group’s portfolio of 57 coworking locations, are in the top 15 cities, predominantly in the London area. The Boutique Workplace Company comes in fourth with 40 and Spaces rounds out the top 5 with 39 coworking spaces.
Ireland has a total of 234 coworking spaces, almost half of which can be found in Dublin – 116. The top three operators in Dublin are Pembr, which has 18 coworking spaces, Iconic Offices with 12 spaces and Regus with 9 spaces.

In summary, the UK has 2,806 coworking spaces and Ireland has 210. Breaking those numbers down more, 2,460 are in England, 188 in Scotland, 102 in Wales, 56 in Norther Ireland. Digging deeper Greater London is the coworking capital with 788 spaces, Dublin boasts 101, and they’re followed by Manchester with 69.
In the UK, the national median price for a dedicated desk is £215p/m (£310 in Brighton and Hove), open workspaces £155 p/m (£250 in G.London), virtual offices £40p/m (£99 in G.London) and meeting rooms £25 p/h (£45 in G.London).
Within the top 15 UK cities, Fora runs 60 spaces, Workspace Group runs 55, The Boutique Workplace Company runs 38, WeWork 37 and Landmark 35.
In Ireland, the median dedicated desk price is €299p/m in Dublin (€280 nationally), open workspace desks €200p/m and virtual offices for €50 p/m (both nationally and in Dublin). Meeting rooms in Dublin come in at €44p/h compared to the national median price of €37.
