Arlington, Virginia-based Nooks, founded in 2021 by military veterans, raised $25M in Series A funding to expand its subscription-based access to classified facilities known as SCIFs (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities).

Investors include Zigg Capital, Upper90, SAIC Ventures, and Lockheed Martin Ventures, backing the company's Classified-Infrastructure-as-a-Service (CIaaS) model that supports government agencies, defense startups, and prime contractors working on classified projects.

Nooks addresses the 18-month security clearance wait times that hinder defense innovation by offering turnkey packages including site selection, lab design, construction, operations, and security clearance support, positioning itself as the "Airbnb" of classified workspaces.
