Sweden’s coworking sector experienced a 6% average price decrease in 2024 according to Workaround marketplace, highlighting broader market challenges despite continued industry development.

This data was shared during the Sweden Coworking Awards 2024 which celebrates excellence across multiple categories. PS. Winners included 7A Office & Lounge Conference & Event as Coworking Space of the Year in Stockholm for its impressive entrance and comprehensive services. Outside the capital, IOFFICE Business Center took top honors for its modern design and welcoming atmosphere, while @squareworkspaces was recognized as Local Coworking of the Year for its entrepreneurial spirit. Other winners included Fabege CoW for sustainability and Helio Workspaces – Sveavägen 20 as Upstart of the Year for its rapid expansion and community-building efforts.

Suzanne Murdock shares some notes from her recent panel on how food and beverage services (F&B) are being integrated into coworking spaces across Europe. The conversation touched on integration challenges, the different in interactions, staffing considerations, focus balancing, diversifications opportunities and some challanges.

Genetor, a Swedish workspace brand with several locations has announced they are set to take over a space at Davida 15 (a Svenska Hus property) that had previously been run by Helio, another multi-location operator.

What’s interesting to note here, is that Helio is part-owned by the owner of Svenska Hus, Gullringsbo Egensommar. According to the article Helio has now retracted to only run spaces within Stockholm.

We hear a lot about operator switches like this across the US and UK, always interesting to see more from other regions.
