CENTRL Office announced it’s first Bay Area location in San Francisco’s North Waterfront.

Portland-based coworking provider CENTRL Office has entered the San Fransisco market by leasing a 34,000 sqft space previously occupied by WeWork at Waterfront Plaza in San Francisco’s North Waterfront neighborhood.

The expansion targets the area’s growing concentration of AI startups, which has driven increased demand for flexible workspace in the waterfront district.

Centrl Office are launching in Seattle, taking over a former WeWork location in the Capital Hill neighborhood. This is Centrl’s 8th location (joining 3 in Portland, 2 in LA and one in both Lake Oswego and Sacramento. CEO Alex Hughes shared that they’re seeing a lot of groups in traditional office space evaluating more flexible options when their leases are ending.
