Landmark Space have brought in Upflex‘s tech to manage their on-demand offerings, and will enable their 14k users to make real-time bookings of desks and meeting rooms across 44 locations in 8 UK cities.

In a LinkedIn post about this news Christophe Garnier mentions that existing and new customers will be able to book through the platform, which makes me wonder if the app is only for Landmark customers/tenants or will allow users of other Upflex-powered apps to make on-demand bookings at these 44 locations.

Christophe Garnier shares some backstory and the news that Spark Labs was acquired by a private equity firm in NY, who plan on rolling out more locations and to continue to grow the spaces’ community.

An interesting move and timing, given that since launching the space Christophe had gone on to found Upflex with Ginger Dhaliwal which has also gone on to raise a recent series A.

Upflex announced their Series A funding round. Although we already knew WeWork was participating, there’s also some other interesting firms joining the platform’s term sheet. Newmark and Cushman & Wakefield participated as strategic investors, joining previous investors and making the total funding raised to date $34.1M.

Christophe Garnier, CEO & Co-Founder, notes that the funding will be leveraged to expand their tech and team as they aim to "set the standard" for what accessing the future of workplace feels like.
