Samantha McClary breaks the news that co-founder of The Office Group, Charlie Green will succeed Lawrence Hutchings as CEO of publicly-listed Workspace Group on Feb 2, 2026.
Samantha also reminds us that the group’s last full year results (year-ending 31 March 2025) showed net rental income of £122.1M and a pre-tax profit of £5.4M, and that they’re in a ‘right-sizing’ process that includes offloading more than £100M in assets.

British Land’s Simon Carter reported that they’re well positioned to continue to benefit from "the 10M sqft shortage of prime office space in Central London" and that their REIT delivered an underlying profit of £155M for the six months ending Sept 30th, up 8% on the same timeframe in 2024.
Workspace Group’s chief exec Lawrence Hutchings notes that they’ve still got their eye on regaining their "position as flex market leader". Their rental income did dip by 3% to £58.7M over the same period.

Qube co-founded by Nicholas Sonuga focuses on building workspace communities for music and content creators across the UK and positions itself as a members-only studio. The company is now seeking additional London sites with minimum 20,000 sqft footprints to continue expansion.
