You may recall that we recently covered how Hotdesk were diving into a workspace token. Mohamed Expand 👇 Khaled shares more information about "DESK Token", an "office property investment and utlity hybrid token", which is set to launch in Q2 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
Investment and utility? According to the release, tokens will be positioned as a more accessible alternative to REITs (see this intro in REITs), while also giving token holders the ability to pay and get loyalty benefits across 2,800+ workspaces.

📅 Hybrid workforce scheduling platform raises $20 M Series A
Dan Bladen shares that Kadence have secured $20M in Series A funding led by High Alpha, with Expand 👇 participation from Kickstart, Four Cities Capital, Manta Ray Ventures, Sovereign’s Capital, Midwich Ignite, and 515 Ventures.
The workplace operations platform has grown to over 600 customers across 40 countries since its 2022 seed round, with enterprise growth accelerating 5X in the last 12 months. Notable customers include Boeing, BDO, Porsche, Ashurst, MIT, Starling Bank, and various government organizations globally.
Aaron Skonnard, co-founder and former CEO of Pluralsight, will join Kadence’s board as part of the funding round.

🤝 Global hotel group partners with meetings and events aggregator
Accor hotels has selected MeetingPackage as its exclusive global provider for digital distribution Expand 👇 and automation of group accommodations and Meetings & Events bookings.
The partnership implements the former’s tech as the core platform for managing inventory, pricing, and availability across direct and indirect channels. The technology enables real-time bookings with dynamic pricing, automates RFP handling from third-party platforms, and incorporates AI-powered features that interpret inquiries and propose responses.
While this might be a very technical announcement, it signifies yet another major step in the evolution of how different types of shared space are procured. As many companies land in a hybrid reality, teams are scheduling meetings and meet ups that are larger than some flexible workspaces can handle. Accor has been leading the hospitality sector in embracing flexible workspace ever since their acquisition of Wojo.
