Felicia Rubinstein, founder of women-centered coworking space HAYVN, has opened a second location in Greenwich following the original Darien site, with plans for a third location along the I-95 corridor to complete her expansion strategy.
Rubinstein, a mechanical engineer who previously worked at Apple and GE before founding a marketing agency, created HAYVN after experiencing workplace challenges as a woman in corporate settings, including hiding her pregnancy at Apple and being the sole woman on a 15-person leadership board at a software company. The concept emerged after she heard WeWork co-founder Miguel McKelvey on NPR's "How I Built This" podcast, though she found existing coworking spaces like WeWork to be "bro-working" environments catering to younger demographics rather than professional women.
