Bloomberg reports that employees who are asked to give up working from (or near) home are quitting instead. Whilst not having to commute is states as the biggest benefit of remote working, cost savings, reduced covid exposure rusk, and chilcare responsibilities also came up as drivers for wanting to stay remote.

๐Ÿ›ข Global company picks coworking space for new Romanian HQ.

Shell chose coworking operator Mindspace to host their Romanian HQ – taking up 83 workstations, for a current team of 57. The agreement is on a 2 year term and gives employees of the multinational oil & gas company access to a new fit-out of their space, a private quarter area, private access, private lounge space and other amenities.

Industrious (and in part CBRE) have acquired Breather‘s intellectual property, technology and data assets including a listing platform that includes 700 on-demand workspaces. The acquisition price was $3M, down a tonne from their previous valuation of $100M, and didn’t include any physical locations.
