On the topic of BOGO sales, Venture X, Office Evolution, and Intelligent Office have also launched a Expand 👇 series of limited-time promotions this summer across locations in the U.S. and Canada. In June, July, and August, the three brands – all part of Vast Coworking Group – are offering a different promotion each month at participating locations. The promotions include:
BOGO Meeting Rooms Hours in June, BOGO Day Offices in July, Fourth month free Coworking memberships at Venture X and Office Evolution in August and a free month of phone answering at Intelligent Office that month too.

Even though I did call it that Yardi would become a WeWork investor back in 2013, I did then call that IWG would land up acquiring WeWork for the franchise play, I may still be ‘in the money’ as they say.
However, since then, a new player has started making waves with acquisitions within the franchise space. Could we see Vast Coworking Group move in here? What if Yardi takes WeWork private first?
🧮 Coworking franchise group shares 2023 numbers
Vast Coworking Group saw a 21% increase in sales and a 16.5% increase systemwide membership across Expand 👇 its Venture X and Office Evolution brands in 2023. The company also opened 11 new locations (9 Venture X; 2 Office Evolution) and added 295,578 square feet to its global footprint across both brands.
The group also promoted several longstanding leaders to its executive team, including Paula Mercer (to Vice President of Vast), Tammy Senter (to Vice President of Operations, Venture X), Brad Johansson (to Vice President of Operations, Office Evolution) and Darcy Masciotro (to Vice President of Operations, Intelligent Office).

Vast Coworking Group signed a lease for a former WeWork space in Downtown Miami and will be Expand 👇 converting 20,253 sqft of the building’s 7th, 8th, and 9th floors into a Venture X location.

Vast Coworking Group’s brands Intelligent Office and Venture X made Entrepreneur magazine’s 2024 Expand 👇 Franchise 500 ranking, recognizing outstanding performance in unit growth, financial strength and stability, and brand power.
Intelligent Office came in at #436 and Venture X at #463, with both brands having appeared on this prestigious ranking for multiple years. This year’s ranking was one of the most competitive assessments in the list’s 45-year history, according to those in the know.
Given the ranking is topped by firms like Taco Bell, Dunkin’ and Hampton by Hilton, this is a strong signal to the power of franchising in coworking.
🔥 Flex space franchising heats up with big acquisition
In news that was teased out over the weekend, Vast Coworking (that houses flex franchises Office Expand 👇 Evolution and Venture X) announced on Monday that they’ve acquired Intelligent Office.
The acquisition adds 55 locations across the US and Canada to the group, bringing their total to over 190, servicing some 40k+ members. Jason Anderson, President of Vast, will lead the brand and oversee its ongoing development and growth. This big move puts the light back on franchising in flex, an area were IWG currently lead the pack with over 4,000 locations across their 14-or-so brands.

The parent network of brands like Office Evolution and Venture X has changed their name from CoWorks Expand 👇 to Vast Coworking Group.
The press release notes that the group will continue to operate as a division of United Franchise Group and has seen strong results from 2023 so far (9 new locations opened and 28 new franchise agreements signed).
