🇩🇪 German coworking spaces mapped and counted.
Tobias Kremkau shares how the German ‘CoworkingMap‘ project have published some of the first publicly available numbers around just how many coworking spaces there are in the country.
According to these numbers there are now just over 700 coworking spaces, and the list excludes business centers, serviced offices and shared offices – counting only those with present community management.

💰 Investment needed to make hub-and-spoke model actually work.
Paul Bubny makes the case that the only way for suburban hubs to work for larger corporations, is if they can invest into expansion, with most of these ‘secondary’ locations often unable to offer 30 desks. Let alone 60+ corporations may need.
🧾 Another CRE SPAC announced.
Cushman & Wakefield announced that they too were creating a ‘blank-check’ company. This Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) is raising $250M to take a company public through a merger.
What differentiates this from previous CRE SPACs is that Cushman isn’t necessarily targeting property tech (proptech) companies.

Pult launched a new Track feature bringing WFA check-in logging, one-click workspace bookings, who’s in checking, and more into Slack workrooms.
💰 New $100M proptech fund announced by Canadian VC firm.
Greensoil Proptech Ventures have announced their second fund focussing on investing into property technology (proptech) startups. An affiliate of Starlight Investments, who manage a $20bn commercial and multi-family real estate portfolio, are also backers of the new fund.
