I need your help… It’s no secret that things have been quiet since I opened The Co-Working Club House back in March. Things are incredibly difficult for many business owners right now, especially those with bricks and mortar businesses and I’m sure this isn’t the first post you’ve seen like this over the past couple of weeks. This isn’t a case of jumping on a bandwagon or looking for sympathy but the reality is that the next couple of months will be make or break for the future of The Co-Working Clubhouse… This project has been a huge dream of mine for years and has taken a HUGE amount of personal risk and financial backing from myself, my partner and my family members to get up and running. But unfortunately as a one woman band there’s only so long I can continue to fund The Clubhouse on my own. Despite the initial excitement to the news that I was opening The Co-Working Clubhouse, the everyday reality has been very different. There’s been several cancelled events and many quiet or even empty co-working days. Whilst many people have reassured me that it can take a while for a new business to get going, with rent, (rising) bills and various running costs to pay for, it has put a huge amount of pressure on The Co-Working Clubhouse covering it’s costs from the get go and unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of sitting tight and waiting for things to improve. Last month I took on feedback and made some big changes to hopefully make our offering more accessible and whilst it’s only been a few weeks since we lowered our prices and announced our new membership packages, I haven’t seen any real change in uptake which, of course is disheartening. I strongly believe (and have heard from having conversations with lots of you) that The Co-Working Clubhouse is a very much needed community driven #coworkingspace for women within #Nottingham and it would break my heart if we had to call it a day before we were really able to get started 💔 My dream has always been to build a tight knit #community of #femalebusinessowners, #freelancers and #remoteworkers who are able to create connections which extend way beyond work and into genuine friendships but the reality is that I can’t create that alone and so I need your help… I understand that it’s a tough time financially and lots of people are tightening but ANY support you can possibly show to The Co-Working Clubhouse would be so so appreciated. Whether that means choosing to purchase a half day pass instead of working from a chain coffee shop, grabbing a ticket to one of our monthly events or simply sharing with friends or followers who you think might benefit from visiting The Clubhouse. Every share and every visit means the world and I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far, I really do appreciate it 💕💕💕 #nottinghambusiness #eastmidlands #femalefounders #womeninbiz #womeninbusiness #womenempoweringwomen #womensupportingwomeninbusiness

Hi Jessica Berry I work on the DRIVEN programme at University of Derby, I've shared your post with my colleague Heather Horvath who should be in touch soon to discuss some support that we may be able to offer.

Hi Jessica Berry, let's get in touch and see how Nottingham College can help!

I’ve shared this for you! Really hope you manage to keep it going💕
