🤖 Global booking app adds AI scheduling integration partner
Upflex has partnered with gospace AI to introduce autonomous office space management technology Expand 👇 through their new offering, Unify AI. The integration will help their customers forecast and schedule the best times for employees to meet in person and where.
This is similar to the partnership Kadence has where their customers can book meetings it schedules at flex workspaces via LiquidSpace. As more companies are getting the hang of hybrid work styles and patterns, no one wants to be the person in charge of scheduling and coordinating meetings and finding workspace – no matter how easy the aggregators make it for them. This is a natural fit for applying AI to a process that involves coordinating multiple variables such as calendars, locations and space availability.

Dave Cairns from Kadence joins the Caleb Parker Show to discuss if the office has a role in the Expand 👇 future of work, personal brands, the challenges workplace leaders face, the need for mindset shifts and how companies are adapting the way they work.
🤺 Microsoft slides into hybrid team scheduling with Places
Neowin reports on Microsoft Places, their new Teams app that helps employees coordinate where to Expand 👇 work from based on who else will be in/around. This lines Microsoft up to compete with some of the hybrid work platforms (like Gable, Desana, Deskpass, OfficeRnD Hybrid, Kadence, LiquidSpace and Café) – some of which may already built integrations with Teams to support enterprise customers.
Although Places was initially hinted at 2 years ago, I did note how this could impact coworking spaces here. In short: it may only be a matter of time before Places is extended to offer 3rd-party or third space bookings, access and visibility too.
🤖 Yes, chat bots can (finally) book desk space
Remember when I said that ‘how’ people will interact with physical spaces for the next generation Expand 👇 will look nothing like it did for ours or previous generations? This video from Dan Bladen shows how Kadence’s chat bot in Microsoft Teams can check who’s in a company’s specific office, and book a desk near a colleague, all without searching, clicking or toggling apps.
Expect more of this from platforms across the HR, team communication, workspace aggregator, and brokerage sectors. As they make booking flows faster and faster, we can confidently expect overall booking volume to grow too.
🎒 Hybrid work platform rolls out their 3rd party booking layer
The integration between Kadence and Liquidspace is now live, and helping organizations’ employees Expand 👇 using the workforce management platform to book internal and third-party spaces to work and meet in. This follows the announcement from both firms in week 20, 2023, and included a full rebuild of the booking experience.
Expect to see more booking interfaces coming into other hybrid-enabling software, especially as implementation & integration timeframes are coming down, fast.
