π©πͺ German brand reflects on transformative year
John Neilan from Berlin-based tuesday coworking reflects on their significant changes in 2024, Expand π closing its original Feurigstrasse location and two smaller spaces while opening its largest location to date at Bundesallee.
Despite the transitions, the company reported a 10% increase in annual recurring revenue to β¬411k, maintained stable membership levels, and continued its social impact through gender pay gap and refugee discounts totaling β¬28,679. The year was marked by both challenges, including an eight-month Deutsche Telekom technical issue, and highlights such as hosting musician David Kitt’s Chandelier Session and various community events.

π€ “Other” brands only make up 11% of bookings on this platform.
Clark Jacobs shares a data drop from 12 months of booking trends across the FlexDesk Expand π platform.
Unsurprisingly, 70% of bookings are on middle-three days, with Friday seeing half as many bookings as Tuesday. But what’s interesting is that WeWork received 3 out of every 4 bookings on the site, where Regus (at 10x the location count) sees 13% of bookings. Everyone else shares 11% – my question to you is.. is this an opportunity for "other" brands to pick up more bookings here, or would time/effort be invested elsewhere?
