The parent network of brands like Office Evolution and Venture X has changed their name from CoWorks to Vast Coworking Group.

The press release notes that the group will continue to operate as a division of United Franchise Group and has seen strong results from 2023 so far (9 new locations opened and 28 new franchise agreements signed).

iPostal1 share that William Edmundson has joined their exec team as Senior Vice President. Most recently he was board president and is currently a board advisor to the GWA and had served as President & CEO of Abby Executive Suites, COO of Office Evolution and a strategic consultant.

Coworking Insights reports to that six Venture X and Office Evolution franchise owners have formed an agreement to acquire eight Office Evolution locations in "Denver, including Boulder, Broomfield (Interlocken), Downtown Denver, Golden, DTC Greenwood Village, Lone Tree (Park Meadows), South Hover Longmont and Louisville".

CoworkingCafe (which you may remember we introduced as Yardi’s new booking platform in w29/22) shares who the largest US operators are according to their data/listings based on number of locations.

The top 15 are: Regus (832), WeWork (246), Industrious (135), Spaces (117), Premier Workspaces (87), Office Evolution (81), Workstyle Flexible Workplaces (60), Intelligent Office (45), Expansive (43), Venture X (42), LocalWorks (31), COhatch (30), Carr Workplaces (27) and Serendipity Labs (27). They also share that they’d say there’s 5,723 locations nationally.

I’m not sure about these results given I’ve not seen the data, but the national number seems very low, and Regus + Spaces are the same operator, but different brands, but interesting nevertheless.
